About Our Founder

Dave Herrington is Founder, President & Chief Engineer at RhinoSource, Inc.

Since founding RhinoSource in 2012, as an Oracle and DataStax partner, Dave Herrington and his RhinoSource team have assisted many Fortune 500 enterprises and some of Silicon Valley's most recognizable companies with their highly-scalable data architectures and technical operations. RhinoSource specializations include high-performance Oracle, DataStax, Apache Cassandra and data lake architectures that feed generative AI and real-time data analytics, keeping these successful businesses ahead of their competition.

Prior to launching RhinoSource, Dave was CIO at Parelli Natural Horsemanship, headquartered in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, with operations in UK and Australia. Dave helped Parelli expand its global leadership in natural horsemanship training by building a social networking platform for its faculty and students and moving its membership-based training courses to the Cloud using the Netflix model on Amazon AWS.

Prior to joining Parelli, Dave was Founder, Chairman & CEO of DARC Corporation. Under nearly 2 decades of his leadership, DARC was a go-to Oracle Certified Partner and was unequaled in North America for delivering successful Oracle ERP implementations. DARC was renowned for its honesty, strident commitment to quality and tireless dedication to sharing Oracle product knowledge and best practices with the Oracle user community.

One of the original 12 Oracle Applications consultants at Oracle Corporation, who were instrumental in the launch of Oracle Corporation's application business, Dave has over 3 decades of extensive experience with Oracle's broad product portfolio, business strategies, license and support policies.

Dave has been a founder, officer and board member of several award winning software user community groups, including the global Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the North Central OAUG, the Northern California OAUG and the Oracle Business Intelligence Special Interest Group (OBI SIG).

Dave is also co-founder of Chase Cellars, an award-winning Napa Valley winery located in St. Helena, CA, that produces high quality wines from grapes grown on the 120 year-old vines of Hayne Vineyard.

Dave holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Graduate Degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
